Early Christmas 'present' for you all: The Keno the Cat Christmas Special 2011 Comic

Before I go on, I have to point out that this is only a parody, and is in no way intended to be used commercially, the Dell logo is (obviously) a copyright to Dell, and was used without permission. This was not made to hinder anyone's opinions on Dell laptops, it was not made to tell people to avoid getting dells.

It's not like Dell will ever be looking at this, but you know what they say; "Better safe than sorry".

Lucky (or not) for you guys, we've decided to release the Christmas special Keno the Cat Comic early!

Right now that that's out of the way, time to go back to Keno the Cat Chronicles...

The Keno the Cat Chronicles Issue 2 Front Cover has finally been made!

After 4 pages into the comic, I've finally gotten around to making the front cover!

I apologise for taking so long, it'll probably be a let down, especially due to the lack of shadows, but then again, you guys probably just don't care, it's just a front cover after all.

Either way, here it is, in all of it's disappointing glory:

Keno the Cat Chronicles - Issue 2 - Page 4 is out!

I just can't meet a deadline to save my life, can I?

A day after it was meant to come out, page 4 of the comic is out.

Why did it take so long? Well, an interesting answer, really. Yesterday, we were putting up the Christmas tree, and today, I was actually going to a primary school reunion, which I totally forgot about. I met friends I haven't seen, or talked to, in years, it was great, they changed so much, then again, so have I, I guess. This time, I made sure to get all of my friends' email addresses, just so I can keep in contact with them.

Anyway, after those, I finished off the comic and here we are.

Now that that's done, I'm going to start on it's front cover, because frankly, it's been updated for too long without one, problem is, what can I draw?

After I do that, I'll start on the Christmas special of it, and I know Exactly what I can do for that...

Keno the Cat Chronicles - Issue 2 - Page 3 is out!

I'm sorry for the delay, personal reasons as to why it took so long, but the point is I'm back and I would say I'm better than ever, but that's not entirely the case.

Anyway, there's not much else to say, the 3rd page is at long last released, and here it is:

Keno the Cat Chronicles Issue 2 Page 2 is out!

After just 2 days after starting on it, I've already finished Page 2 of the comic! What a record!

Don't worry, though, I didn't rush it, I just put more time into it, because most of the time I worked on previous pages, I was just lounging about, so if I wanted to get the comics over with and start on the game itself any time soon, I had to stop lounging about and actually get on with them.

So that's exactly what I did, and the end result, with the same effort put in as the other page, just more time spent doing do, was alot quicker than I expected, only 2 days.

To catch up on the comic series (That is if you actually want to), go to the Keno the Cat Official website, link to it are located at the home page or the "Our Games" page, and then click on "Story".

Assuming that the comic will be 10 pages long, because the story is much longer, then I can get the comic done before Christmas! and that includes the Christmas special comic, so by next year, it's all going towards the game, and hopefully, I can get that done by late 2012, which is when I want to release the game.

Yeah, it's very much possible, I think! So, hopefully, it goes according to plan, and the the game should be on Xbox Live and Steam by Q4 2012!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be starting the next page of the comic...

Happy Bonfire Night!... Does anyone even say that?

Because we have nothing else to do, we at Gamerstorm would like to celebrate Guy Fawkes night, with a promotional(ish) poster, well, we're going to turn it into one, think of this as a first draft enjoy:

Image available only on the Gamerstorm Website!

For those outside the UK who don't know what Guy Fawkes night is, well, it's kind of like our version of 4th July, except it's celebrating a bad thing, sort of, it's celebrating an attempt, by a guy called "Guy Fawkes" (Who'd thought?) trying to blow up the houses of parliament in 1905.

I hope youse like this, and Happy Guy Fawkes Night!... Does anyone even say that?

The Keno the Cat Halloween 2011 Special Comic had been revealed!

I've just noticed, I've been posting news like crazy lately, when previously, I only had 1 post every 2 months.

Anyway, I've been working on a Halloween special comic for Keno the Cat, the problem was, what should I draw, here's some trivia, I was originally going to do a continuation of the Red Nose Day 2011 special, it would've taken place after Luca had landed, but that would require too many panels for what I had planned for the story and my drawing skills are below average, so it wouldn't turn out good.

So instead, I decided to do something rather simple, but with a twist, unlike any other Halloween special of anything, it's not scary, but it has alot to do with Halloween, how is this possible, well, read for yourself:

A (very) rough release "date" for Keno the cat has been confirmed.

We (well, I) have worked out an very rough release date for the Keno the cat game.

The game should be released at Q4 2012, or Early 2013, before the new Xbox has been announced at E3 2013.

The reason I'm releasing it then is because for one thing only 1 guy is making it, yours truly, and I'm making this my big project, so I need time to make it the best I can, It's not like Rossies 2, where the game is extremely simple, I want to add depth to this game, and alot of it, I want an epic storyline, great looking cutscenes (PC version will also have the option of Low-Poly Models), and variety to the game, not just the same stuff over and over and over again.

Even so, it still seams a bit much, but I'm slow and lazy, so I'll need all the time I can get.

In the mean time, like I did with Rossies 2, I'll be making the occasional Developer Blog entry, to tell youse how I'm doing, if your at all interested.

HTML5 Centring issues fixed!

This only concerns those who use the newer site, the older site didn't have this problem, for some reason.

I've found out that the then upcoming HTML 5 wouldn't be supporting the "< center >" tag, which I still to this day think is a bad idea, because to center even a small peice of text, like a name, like my signature "-Cobra!" thing at the bottom, which, opposed to the rest of the text on the whole page is aligned to the left, with HTML5, I would have to make the whole page centre aligned, and make that little piece of text a paragraph, which leaves a line break, if that's the right term, in between the text, which I don't want, or make it a heading, and by doing so it'll be a different size from the rest of the text, which, again, I don't want. See where I'm coming from, it's not very convenient, is it?

So I thought not to worry as most browsers still used 4.1, and that it would take a while for browsers to update it so that it would use HTML 5, but after only a couple of months, every modern browser used it, so it suddenly became an issue, although some people haven't complained about it, I guess because they think it's meant to be like that, but it isn't.

Nevertheless, after acquiring the knowledge of basic CSS, I've modified the code of every code of the site so that it will look like it should on HTML 5 browsers, with centred texts.

Just a note, I will not update the older news pages, it's just too much work, and for nostalgias sake in the future I'll leave them as they are and also to show much much we've evolved...

Quick Update: Just a heads up...

Have youse noticed that we haven't been active lately, as in, one update every 1.5 months, well, you should get used to this, it's not that I've lost faith on Gamerstorm, it's just rarely does something even remotely-exiting happens with us.

Alot does go on behind the scenes, I'm working on the next issue of Keno Chronicles, I'm working on the 3D models for the game, and I'm working on the story too, and for the site, I've been learning more HTML, some CSS and Javascript to improve the site, but lets be honest, posting updates about those won;t be very exiting, therefore putting visitors off the site, and if you ask me, I'd rather have something good happen rarely (a Klonoa game getting released.) as opposed to something boring happen all of the time (a new FIFA game getting released.)

So I just though I'd lets youse know that we haven't been doing nothing, we're actually very busy, it's just that nothing of interest or anything worth of posting happens

Saturday 1 October 2011

It's been a very busy week for Keno Dawting! Also, reason for site decay.

It's been almost 2 months since our last post, sorry if youse thought we were dead, because we aren't!

In those 2 months though, I managed to finish off Issue 1 of the Keno the cat Chronicles comic, if youse want to read it, go visit the official Keno the cat website.

Oh yeah! Speaking of, the official Keno the cat website is now up! To make things better, I've actually revealed a bit of the story on the site, so if youse want to check that out, go there now!

Oh and one last thing, notice anything different about this post than any other post? Well, of course you did! Keno now gets his own category in the news page! ...Alright, it isn't that exiting, but for the sake of completion, it's here.

Alright, you're probably wondering why we weren't active for a month, well, the reason is... we haven't done anything significant, nothing worth posting, and honestly, there's nothing else to it, that was really because half of the month, I was still waiting for the desk to be built, and trust me, that was a lot of hassle, and you know how you'd be on a break/holiday, you know how hard it is to get back to your usual progress if you know what I mean? Yeah, I felt like that, so I really didn't do much at all, sorry guys, I promise I'll work much harder next time, if I don't, fell free to send me death threats.

I'M BACK... Sort of... I overuse that title, don't I?

Well, my birthday has passed and unlike anything else I've been remotely exited about, I've actually moved into my sisters room, which is twice the size of my old room. It shouldn't be long until I get my work-desk, and the moment that's installed, and I have everything put on and plugged in, I'll get back to work, I promise!

But why just lounge about until then? If I want this project of mine to come out any time soon, I have to work on it in any form I can, so I've started working on the story again, and I've been alot more productive than ever on it!

If you guys are lucky, I might even give you a preview of the story, no guarantees though, I don't want to spoil TOO much of the story.

That's all I wanted to say, really, and by the way, since I totally forgot, I like to give a shout out to a friend who's birthday it was today, I'm not naming names, but you know who you are, Happy Birthday!

Tuesday 26 July 2011

I will be taking a break, and this time it's for a real reason.

Yeah, it's my "yearly" hiatus, but this time, it's not because I'm being a lazy rascal, it's actually for a genuine reason.

You see, on top of my upcoming birthday, I'm actually moving room in my house, my big sister is moving out of the house, which means I get her room, which is at least twice the size of my current room, as well as that, I'm getting proper work desk, as opposed to the old bed that I've got now, which I think will give more of a working atmosphere which should put me in a better mood to work on my stuff, here's hoping.

It's because right now, I'm never in the mood to work on my stuff, which explains why stuff from me take so long to come out, my Keno the Cat Chronicles comic for example was supposed to be on a weekly schedule, however, I've never been in the mood to work on it, the 4th (and last) page of issue 1 is in progress, but not very much, or very fast.

Anyway, enough about my room, and my life, you guys probably don't care about that, I just wanted to tell youse that I'm on a hiatus to work on moving room and birthday plans.

Gamerstorm Now does RSS Feeds

That's right, Gamerstorm now does RSS feeds! Just so you don't have to waste the hassle of going to the site!
With that said, you're probably thinking "What's the point in coming here then?", well, the RSS feeds will only put the articles in a nutshell, abridge them, the website will have all the details.

"Well what's the point in the RSS then?" I hear you ask, well, in case you can't be a*sed visiting the website, just check the RSS feed in your bookmarks for news.

So yeah, basically, there's an RSS feed for us now, there's not much to say, except perhaps it actually gives a purpose to this old blog, which hasn't had an update in 2 years.
